Finnich gorge and endrick falls

I don't always have to journey a million miles away for some stunning locations and these are two of my faves. Finnich gorge is a natural gorge near Killearn ( about an hours drive from hame ) carved out by the melting of glaciers at the end of the last ice age in Scotland. It's a bit treacherous to get down there but is well worth the nervous slide down the old victorian access steps to reach. The reddish brown water of the river is towered over on both sides by beautifully sculpted sandstone that compliments the hues of rich green mosses and lichens that blanket the sides. I also made the pilgramage to the beautiful Endrick falls just a 15 min drive up the Carron valley from Killearn to capture the stunning view of Fintry and beyond. Good day. ;)
