Defeat and consolation..
Headed up the 'Cobbler' (Ben Arthur) Tuesday past intent on conquering this mighty rock that looks over Loch Long and Arrochar. I had previously attempted the climb last year and was defeated by the layer of cold mist that oft decends down from high and alas was once again beaten by similar conditions with the addition of a freezing gale force wind that had me shivering behind one of the sizeable boulders that litter the ascent.I did however resolve...

Ben A'an
Monday, first time hike up to the summit of Ben A'an, weather was great on the way up, good light but very hazy. Absolutely knackered by the time I got up to the peak but well worth the slog, rewarded with stunning views over Loch Katrine, Ben Venue and the Trossachs. It started to cloud up towards sun-down and didn't light up the surrounding hills they way I was hoping but managed to get a few shots I was pleased with. Need to definately make the...
